Inside SKY HD

This is after 1 hour of recording.
Unfortunatly, 'When Dinosaurs Roam' was 2 hours long, so couldn't do the exact comparison
I did with the original disc. But you can see, its 2 hours recorded (1 hour of When Dinosaurs Roam and 1 hour of Megastructures) and only 5% used.
It was 10% used with the original disc. Here's 2 hours of HD programming with the original 300gb disc. So 5% each programme, which is 8gb per hour. At least for these 2 channels. Here's the inside of the plastic top/sides. Its black really. Here's the outside of the metal top. I have't taken any photo's yet of the box without its plastic, but with this lid on. And here's the inside of the metal lid. View from the righthand side (front is left on this picture) View of the back obviously.

The sata port is actually E-Sata so I found. Lefthand side view (front is on the right) Here's the view of the bottom. The fan is for the disc drive. Here's what it looks like without the disc drive. Not much in there. The original disc in its mount.

As you can see its a Maxtor 300gb Quickview disc. Model 6L300S0. Notice the little sticker. The 4th screw is under it. Its the only place I've found where you actually void your warranty. Doh, guess that means I'm out of warranty now. Left = Original
Right = New Front view of my disc in the housing. Just to prove I'm out of warranty now. Guess that means its my 500gb disc in the housing. Here's my 500gb disc in the box. No idea what that green thing is for, but it peels off without any trouble, so I installed it on the new disc. My first photo of the Sky HD box with its top off.

To get to this point, you have to remove 7 screws. Here's the system details (serial/card removed).
